Saija has taught me yoga on around 5 occasions. This included group classes in small group of up to 10 people in centennial park, but also private teachings at my place or at Bondi beach. As someone who has never tried yoga before, Saija could pick me up from the very start and showed me the basics while always staying calm and patient. She always emphasised that I should stay within the physical limitations of my body and do those exercises while focusing on the right breathing technique to reduce the risks of injuries.
Her focus was not just, to show me the physical movements, but also to give me the tools to understand the spiritual side of the yoga teaching. She started by having a conversation with me about myself and asked me a number of questions to asses my element and gave me numerous tips on how to schedule my day to live in line with it.
Our shared conversations – the reflection of myself on a mental and physical level – have supported me on the journey to find myself. I could feel how my strength improved and now have the courage to get involved more with myself and my path and thereby accept the intensity of life with everything that is there.

Finally, at 14-15, Hanna Liikka will guide us through Functional Meditation and Energy Therapy.
The idea is to first get the energy up by doing easy sitting, familiar from kundalini yoga, as well as breathing exercises. After this, I channel energy healing to the highest good using Arcturia’s Reiki technique, among others.

Come and experience something unique! Yoga dance is a harmonious ensemble that combines different forms of yoga (such as hatha, vinyasa, yin and kundalini) with the fluidity of the dance. This practice has been influenced by my dance background, music, vibrational frequencies and Ecstatic Dance events, creating a space where body and mind can find a new connection.
It doesn’t matter if you have no previous experience of yoga or dance – everyone is welcome to join! Music is an important part of the exercise, so please note that hearing aids, for example, may affect participation.
