Yoga is Life and Life Evolves
Inspired by an Instagram post from Eyal about not getting stuck in the orthodoxy of one style of yoga.
When I first entered the world of yoga, it felt like diving into a vast ocean—endless knowledge, rituals, expectations, and a whole cultural history that wasn’t mine to claim. I was deeply curious, but also cautious. What if I taught something the wrong way? What if I misunderstood something sacred? Could I hold space without doing harm?
At the time, my mind was busy, layered with trauma, shaped by global chaos like pandemic, and steeped in my own healing process. On a particular course, we were asked to choose just one text to focus on—but my nature wouldn’t let me stay in just one lane. I wanted to see the different yoga styles to gain a full picture, to know how things connected. I wanted to learn not only how those poses flowed so gracefully, but why they were taught that way at all.
🌱 My Journey: Curiosity Over Rigidity
I’ve always been pulled toward change and movement—maybe that’s why travel, and adapting to new environments, became second nature for me. Staying in a big city offered the gift of diversity. I explored various yoga styles and teachers, and although none felt like “the one,” each left its imprint.
More than anything, they taught me this: we evolve, and our practice should too.
🔍 Styles That Shaped My Path

Each lineage, each method, offered a unique reflection:
- Vinyasa gave me fluidity and grace
- Hatha offered grounding and pause
- Yin invited deep listening and stillness challenging the mind that was constantly seeking change
- Ashtanga provided structure, discipline, and resilience
- AcroYoga, moon circles, and ecstatic dance reminded me of joy, play, and the power of community
All of them became part of my healing and teaching. Not one alone, but the alchemy of them together.
📿 Roots, Rituals & Belief Systems
This doesn’t mean abandoning roots—on the contrary, I’ve spent years studying yogic texts, exploring the 8 Limbs of Yoga, the Sutras, and connecting threads with other systems of wisdom. I also see how so many cultures around the world have rituals and philosophies deeply connected to nature. There’s a shared human longing for union, for meaning.
What’s tricky is when the beauty of these practices turns rigid—when yoga (or religion, or any system) becomes about “the right way” instead of a path to truth. What frees one person might feel like a prison to another.
🧘♀️ Teaching Through Adaptability
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all yoga. My teaching depends on the people in front of me, the space we’re in, the season, the moment.
For some, the practice might be powerful flows. For others, it might mean lying down and simply breathing. Sometimes, it’s strength. Sometimes, surrender. And for myself, it depends too—on my cycle, my emotional state, my needs.
Still, I aim to offer structure—but with space. Guidance—but with permission. I want each person to find their own rhythm and intuition inside the practice.
💡 Why Adaptability = Sustainability
Modern life is anything but linear. So why should your practice be?
Adaptable movement—like adaptable mindset—is what sustains us over time. That’s why in my Holistic Coaching, we explore tools beyond just yoga. Whether it’s breath, strength training, self-inquiry, or rest—it’s all about finding what works for you, right now.
You don’t have to be as wildly curious as me. But you do deserve a practice that evolves as you do.
